Treatment Care Instructions

It's important to follow certain precautions and care instructions to ensure optimal results and minimize any side effects. The following guidelines will help ensure you achieve the best results.

Laser Hair Removal

LASER HAIR REMOVAL TREATMENT

  1. Avoid sun exposure for at least 4-6 weeks (about 1 and a half months) before and after treatment until your healthcare provider allows it. This is because epidermal melanocytes compete with melanin in hair.

  2. Your provider may ask you to stop any topical medications or skin care products 3-5 days prior to treatment.

  3. Avoid bleaching, plucking or waxing hair for 6 weeks (about 1 and a half months) prior to treatment. The melanin-containing hair must be present in the follicle as it is the "target" for the laser light.

  4. If you have had a history of perioral or genital herpes simplex virus, your provider may recommend a prophylactic antiviral therapy. Follow the directions for your antiviral medication.

  5. If you have a tan or have a darker Fitzpatrick Skin Type, a bleaching regimen may be started at least 2 weeks before treatment.

  6. Recently tanned skin cannot be treated! If treated within 2 weeks of active (natural sunlight or tanning booth) tanning, you may develop hypopigmentation (white spots) after treatment, and this may not clear for 2-3 months or more.

  7. The use of self-tanning skin products must be discontinued one week before treatment. Any residual self-tanner should be removed prior to treatment.

  1. The skin is cleaned and shaved prior to treatment. The use of a topical anesthetic is optional.

  2. When treating the upper lip, the teeth may be protected with moist white gauze. The gauze also serves to support the lip during treatment, allowing a surface to push against.

  3. The DCD cryogen cooling device or air cooling will be used with the laser to cool the skin during treatment.

  4. Safety considerations are important during the laser procedure. Protective eye wear will be worn by the patient and all personnel in the treatment room during the procedure to reduce the chance of damage to the eye. In addition, your Provider will take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety.

  5. Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation (darker pigmentation).

  6. Use sunblock (SPF 30+) at all times throughout the course of treatment.

  7. Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin. Do not use any other hair removal treatment products or similar treatments (waxing, electrolysis or tweezing) that will disturb the hair follicle in the treatment area for 6 weeks after the laser treatment is performed. Shaving only should be done between treatments.

  8. Several days to weeks after the treatment, shedding of the treated hair may occur and this appears as new hair growth. This is NOT new hair growth. You can clean and remove the hair by washing or wiping the area with a wet cloth or Loofah sponge.

  9. After the axilla (underarm) is treated, you may wish to use powder instead of a deodorant for 24 hours after the treatment to reduce skin irritation.

  10. There are no restrictions on bathing except to treat the skin gently, as if you had sunburn, for the first 24 hours.

TOENAIL FUNGUS TREATMENT

  1. After your appointment, we advise that you wear clean shoes and new socks. Additionally, we recommend that you wash your sheets, disinfect your shower or bath, and vacuum your carpets on the day of treatment.

  2. To further prevent reinfection, you should apply antifungal cream twice a day for 2 weeks to 3 months, depending on the severity of the infection. It is also recommended that you apply antifungal powder to all of your shoes at least once a week, with a minimum of once a month.

  3. To keep your nails healthy, it is essential to keep them trimmed and cleaned. We also advise that you disinfect the instruments used to groom your toes and nails after each use. Lastly, avoid walking barefoot in public places to reduce the chance of infection.

Eyebrow treatment

POST TREATMENT CARE - BROW TATTOO

First step in the healing procedure: 30 minutes after the microblading treatment gently cleanse your eyebrows using Phiwipes without stretching the skin. Cleanse the skin thoroughly until any pigment or colored lymph is no longer visible on the wipes. By doing so, you can remove excess lymph and prevent scabs from forming, which can have a negative impact on the final pigment outcome. After cleansing the skin, it's important to apply the prescribed cream that matches your skin type and habits. Repeat this process 3-5 times during the day, and consider setting an alarm to remind yourself to do so on schedule. In case the treatment was done in the afternoon and you are unable to repeat the recommended procedure 3-5 times, it's essential to apply Phipatch on your eyebrows before going to bed and after the last rinsing and cream application. This way, you can ensure the best results while you sleep.

In the next 6 days there's no need to rinse as the lymphatic fluid will no longer be draining. However, applying the cream is necessary 3-5 times daily. Your eyebrows must not get wet while washing the face or having a shower. In clients with extremely oily skin, the after care (rinsing and applying the cream) is recommended only on the first day, while in the following days you should not apply any skin
ointment or cream. As changes in skin structure, such as the formation of light fiber tissues, can hinder future pigment retention, it's crucial to ensure that the skin is fully healed. In order to achieve that, it is recommended to use anti-scar gel 7 days after the treatment. Instructions for using this gel are included with the product.

1. The Phicandy Balm is a natural cream designed to provide post-treatment skin care. It helps to keep the skin moisturized and protected from external factors like dust and sweat.
2. Phicandy Anti-Shock is a specially formulated cream for post-Phibrows treatment skin care. Its tone effectively covers up redness and dark pigments that can shock clients due to the significant difference in color and shape between the old and freshly done eyebrows. With regular use, this cream helps to fade pigment until the skin is fully healed. It comes in two basic tones to suit different skin types.
3. Skin Candy Sun and Sweat Protection is an aftercare cream specially designed for eyebrows following the Phibrows treatment. It's ideal for clients who are exposed to the sun or engage in heavy sweating, such as frequent gym-goers or those who will be out in the sun shortly after treatment.

For the first 7 days, it's best to avoid applying any creams (except for protective ones) or makeup like foundation to the eyebrow area. It's also important to avoid activities that cause excessive sweating, such as exercise or using the sauna, as well as facial massage and inhalation.

It's important to avoid suntanning, sunbeds, light or laser therapy, chemical peels, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, and creams containing regeneration factors during the healing period. Laser treatments over the treated area, such as fraxel laser or IPL, should also be avoided as they can damage the pigment and cause inflammation. Antibiotics or hormonal therapy may cause faster fading of the pigment. Always use sun protection cream to protect your eyebrows from the sun, not just during the first 7 days.

POST TREATMENT CARE - SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION

To ensure a good and long-lasting result, treat your scalp like an open wound after your Scalp Micropigmentation treatment. Refrain from washing your scalp but keep it clean. Avoid exposure to chlorinated pools, saunas, steam rooms, or tanning beds for 30 days after your final treatment.

Short-term aftercare:

Days 1-4: During this period, your scalp is still sensitive, and it's essential to avoid washing, shaving, or touching your scalp. Washing your scalp might seem tempting, but it can damage the sensitive scalp, and you can risk losing the pigmentation. You should also avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area, as it can dislodge the pigments and create scabs.

Days 5-7: During this period, you should avoid sweating heavily, as excessive sweating can lead to an interruption in the healing process. You should also avoid scrubbing or shampooing your scalp, as it can make your wounds open, and the harsh chemicals in shampoo can cause irritation. Sunlight can damage your scalp, and UV rays can lead to sunburn and sun damage. Touching your scalp with your hands can also increase the risk of infection. You can gently rinse your scalp and clean the area with a wet cloth to keep it clean. If you want to shave your head, you can do it with an electric foil shaver, minimizing any scabs that may still be visible on your head. You can apply small amounts of water to your head. However, stay away from sulfate shampoo.

Days 8-14: During this period, your scalp should be looking much better and healing nicely. However, it is still healing, and you should make sure that you're still following an aftercare routine. You should avoid scratching the scalp, as the skin on your scalp could start to peel during these next few days. It's important to refrain from scratching or picking any scabs that may form. You should also avoid using irritants that could cause inflammation and disturb the healing process. Avoid wet shaving with a razor blade for 10 days after each session of the procedure. If necessary, carefully shave or cut your hair. You can wash the treated area gently with water and soap. Applying a little bit of moisturizer will also enhance the healing stage during this period. But make sure it's fragrance-free.

Long-term aftercare:

For the first month, you should avoid chlorinated pools, saunas, steam rooms, tanning beds, and getting a tan on the treated area. Chlorine can strip your scalp of its natural oils and dry it out, and the heat from saunas and steam rooms can cause sweating, leading to the loss of pigmentation. Tanning beds and direct sunlight can cause the pigmentation to fade quickly. It's essential to protect your scalp from UV rays by using sunscreen with at least SPF 50+ before going out.

  1. Use fragrance-free, antibacterial soap for the first month if you want to wash your scalp. Using fragrance-free antibacterial soap can help prevent infection and irritation.

  2. Use fragrance-free moisturizer right after taking a shower and before going to bed to keep your scalp moisturized. Moisturizing your scalp can help prevent itching and flaking.

  3. Do not use AHA-containing products in the treatment area because it will make the pigment fade. AHA-containing products can cause the skin to exfoliate, which can remove the pigmentation.

  4. Stay off products that contain a high concentration of alcohol. High concentrations of alcohol can dry out your scalp and cause irritation, leading to the loss of pigmentation.
